The Disciples wines are born from a reverence for Napa Valley’s most storied vineyards. Sourced from a collection of historic, heritage sites across the valley, each wine reflects the character of the land and the visionaries who first believed in it.

Inspired by the path first forged at Dr. Crane Vineyard, these wines walk in those same footsteps, honoring the past while carrying its spirit forward with every vintage.

Disciples Wines

Disciples Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Our Disciples wines aim to carry on the legacy of St. Helena Pioneer Dr. Crane by crafting wines from meticulously farmed vineyards rooted in rugged terrain and distinctive soil types—wines that reflect the power and structure of our estate bottlings from the G.B. Crane Vineyard.

This journey began with the inaugural vintage of our Disciples Red Wine in 2014. Since then, we’ve continued to seek out vineyard sources that meet our standards for quality and character. The 2021 vintage of Disciples Cabernet Sauvignon came from a single vineyard in St. Helena. For 2022, we returned to that small vineyard in western St. Helena and complemented it with fruit from one of our estate vineyards planted in volcanic rock at the base of the Vaca Mountains in Calistoga.

These two vineyard sources complement each other beautifully: the St. Helena fruit is thick and textural with layers of complex fruit flavors, while the Calistoga vineyard contributes fresh fruit purity, mouthwatering savoriness, a tannic backbone, and aromatic lift.

Blend Composition: 97% Cabernet Sauvignon | 2% Petite Sirah | 1% Merlot

Winemaker Notes
Dark purple in color with beautiful clarity. Fresh aromatics of blackberry and raspberry carry a mineral edge, complemented by hints of red licorice, cinnamon, and a touch of mint. On the palate, the wine is dense and structured with good grip. Flavors of fresh blackberry and black licorice unfold alongside notes of pencil shavings, graphite, and subtle fennel. The purity of fruit is evident, balanced by firm, mouth-coating tannins. The finish is long and persistent, expanding in the back of the mouth with a mouthwatering salinity that is both savory and succulent—evoking the natural freshness of ripe fruit... A nice lift of fresh acidity gives the wine aromatic energy that carries through the end.

Disciples Sauvignon Blanc 2024

Our inaugural release of Disciples Sauvignon Blanc comes from the sustainably farmed Crocker Vineyard in St. Helena, located just across the road from the historic G.B. Crane Vineyard. Planted in 1992, this site delivers vibrant fruit character and natural freshness.

Picked before dawn on August 23rd, 2024, the fruit was gently pressed and settled in tank before being barreled down to neutral French oak. Primary fermentation was completed in barrel, where the wine aged for nine months before bottling on May 20, 2025.

Tasting Notes
Pale straw in the glass, like a hint of morning sunshine. Bright aromatics of citrus blossom, white peach, and crushed stone lead into notes of spearmint, fresh grass, and tropical fruit. The palate is vibrant and textured, with lemon curd, key lime, and tangerine layered over ripe stone fruit. A touch of sweetness and subtle French oak add depth, finishing long and juicy with a savory edge and a hint of mint. A vivid expression of Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc - refined, refreshing, and food-friendly.
